Dicynodont Grimbeeki, two dog-teeth or Diictodon Grimbeeki is a type of dicynodont therapsid that flourished during the upper permain period.

The dicynodont skull is highly specialized, light but strong, with the synapsid temporal openings at the rear of the skull greatly enlarged to accommodate larger jaw muscles. The front of the skull and the lower jaw are generally narrow and, in all but a number of primitive forms, toothless.

Instead, the front of the mouth is equipped with a horny beak, as in turtles and ceratopsian dinosaurs. Food was processed by the retraction of the lower jaw when the mouth closed, producing a powerful shearing action, which would have enabled dicynodonts to cope with tough plant material.

Dicynodont Grimbeeki or Diictodon Grimbeeki vary in size from being about the size of a rat to about the size of a horse, and were all herbivores (plant-eaters). Their bodies are usually short and strong with a short tail but powerful limbs – in larger species the hind limbs are erect, but the front limbs sprawl at the elbow. Additionally, in all but the earliest forms, Dicynodonts have a horny beak.

During the late Permian period, Dicynodont Grimbeeki or Diictodon Grimbeeki were the most successful of land vertebrates, and occupied a range of evolutiontary niches. Many species died out in the Permian-Triassic extinction, but two families survived, and they and their descendants (especially Lystrosaurs) were the most successful herbivores of the early Triassic period.

As a therapsid, Dicynodont Grimbeeki or Diictodon Grimbeeki shared many features with modern-day mammals. Most noticeably, they made burrows into the earth. These burrows could be up to 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) deep.

Many scientists believe that Dicynodonts lived like the modern gopher. Their burrows could have been used to escape the heat of the desert, which was the dominant environment on the continent of Pangaea in the Late Permian Period. Inside these burrows, nests have been found, where Dicynodont Grimbeeki or Diictodon Grimbeeki skeletons are present.
