Scientists found fossils from all body parts. This includes two good skeletons. This was a small dinosaur. It grew to 6.6 feet or less in length. It weighed about 22 pounds or less.

They walked on two legs. It had short arms and long legs. The leg bones had large areas for muscle attachments. Its hands were short and wide with short fingers.

The foot features long ankle bones that stood completely upright off the ground. Three main toes branch forward out of this tall ankle structure. Each of these toes ended in a small sharp claw. A tiny, useless fourth toe sat higher up on the side of the foot.

The head of this dinosaur was small. It had small, leaf-shaped cheek teeth. These teeth were triangular with small ridges along the edges. The front teeth were plain and smooth.

This dinosaur had thin plates lying along its ribs. These structures are called intercostal plates they originally grew from cartilage. Other small dinosaurs had these same plates.
