The Eastern deer mouse is a small rodent native to North America.
Adults weigh between 10 and 24 grams. Their body grows no longer than that of a common house mouse. They have a small round and slender body. Its fur ranges in color from grayish to reddish brown. The head features a sharply pointed nose with large, black, beady eyes.
Females are highly prolific breeders that produce up to four litters each year. A single litter yields an average size of three to five pups. Extreme litter counts can occasionally range from one to eleven young in optimal seasons.
These nocturnal rodents are opportunistic omnivores that consume a massive variety of woodland foods. They actively forage for wild seeds, berries, nuts, small fruits, and tender green plants. They supplement their diet with beetles, caterpillars, grasshoppers, leafhoppers, and various insect larvae.

Beady, the Eastern deer mouse skull replica, is getting ready for winter and has her suitcase all packed up and is carrying it to a cute little hole in the wall right next to the dining room table in the kitchen. What she does not know yet is the owner of the house has a mean Siamese cat that is always hungry.
Meadow, the meadow vole skull replica, was telling Beady that there is a big Siamese cat that lives there and she should not move in there for winter.
Chippy, the Eastern chipmunk skull replica, thinks Meadow is off her rocker as he has never seen a cat there. He reassures Beady it is fine to move in, so she did.
Squeaky, the mouse skull replica, squealed so loud the entire neighborhood came outside to find out what in the world was going on. It turns out that Meadow was correct. Squeaky found four pink feet on the hay in the barn this morning and nobody has heard from Beady in a week.
