The common duiker also known as the gray duiker or bush duiker, is a small antelope lives in Africa south of the Sahara Desert. Their vast geographical range excludes only the Horn of African and central rainforests.
Savannas, hilly areas, and edges of human settlements provide excellent living spaces. Sufficient vegetation cover allows these animals to hide from danger easily.
Leaves, flowers, fruits, and underground tubers make up their main diet. These omnivorous antelopes also eat insects, frogs, small birds, mammals, and even carrion. Rainy season weather allows them to skip drinking water entirely. Fluid comes directly from juicy fruits instead. Monkeys drop these fruits from trees for duikers below.
Adults reach about twenty inches height at the shoulders. Weights range from twenty-six to fifty-five pounds. Females grow larger and heavier than males. Only the males grow horns, which reach up to four inches long.
Activity occurs during both day and night hours. Near human homes, these creatures become strictly nocturnal.

Dan, the common duiker has invited his friends over to build a huge balsa wood airplane.
Pete, the Peter’s duiker male skull replica, arrived early and already has assembled the entire airplane.
Rudy, the red forest duiker male skull replica, is painting the airplane red, white and blue. Tomorrow is the fourth-of-July and they are going to fly the airplane throughout the neighborhood to let the little ones see the American spirit.
Brett, the bay duiker male skull replica, is installing the flashing red, white and blue lighting inside of the airplane. He is secretly stuffing the plane with candy that will automatically gently float down to all the kids.
Excitement peaks as soon as the sun has set and the airplane is launched. It is a beautiful site to see all the kids marveling at the plane with their mouths full of sweet candy.
