Bird Or Aves Skulls are museum quality polyurethane resin casts. Our Bird or Aves Skulls are made in the USA.

There are about ten thousand living species, more than half of which are passerine, or perching birds.

Birds are a group of warm-blooded vertebrates. They have feathers, toothless beaked jaws, a high metabloic rate. They also have a four-chambered heart and lay hard-shelled eggs.

Wings, which are modified forelimbs, gave birds the ability to fly.

Birds are social, communicating with calls, songs, and participating in  cooperative breeding, hunting, flocking, and mobbing of predators.

The skeleton consists of very lightweight bones. They have large air-filled cavities which connect with the respiratory system.

The skull bones in adults are fused and do not show cranial sutures.
